Something to think about!

I would like to dedicate this glog to an issue which I feel has been pushed aside. We all know that there are people who have difficult relationships with food. Some people like to turn away from it and feel food is the 'emeny', however there are also people who turn to food and feel it is conforting. There has been alot of media coverage of anorexia, and the dangers of not eating and I agree that this is a very serious problem amoung young people. But there is also this problem on the other side. Some people just can't stop eating. Just as some people just can't eat. What upsets me the most is that these people who can't stop themselves eating are treated very badly. Constantly being branded as 'fat pigs' and the like, when really they are calling out for help, just like those with anorexia. But because being 'fat' is such a faux par now days, nobody believes that eating too much is a disorder. I believe it is high time that this whole weight issue is addressed, not only for young people but for Hollywood and celebrities who glamorise starvation diets and ridicule people who find it hard to stop eating or to loose weight.
